Wild brown trout Grayling

Rain-fed from the peat of Great Whernside, the Nidd carries its characteristic “Yorkshire Bitter” colour. Our fishing starts below Gouthwaite Reservoir and runs, almost continuously, downstream to Dacre Banks, mostly under a canopy of alders. Wild brown trout and grayling.

Wild brown trout

Wild brown trout fishing at the very head of Nidderdale, with Great Whernside and Little Whernside as the backdrop. Peace, quiet and virtual solitude, broken only by curlew, lapwing and other upland birds.
